In My Bag: Winter 2019

When I’m surfing blogs, “What’s In My Bag?” posts are one of my favorite types of posts to read. On my journey of getting more up close and personal with you, I decided to write my own “In My Bag” post with a seasonal twist. Besides, people always say that you can tell a lot about a woman from looking at the items she carries in her purse. Aside from the breath mints, my cell phone and EarPods, this winter, here’s what I’m carrying around the most:

THE BAG: Butterfly Crossbody Bag; ZARA ($30) - Last year, I bought this purse during my trip to Atlanta. I was on the hunt for a crossbody bag, and the embossed butterflies immediately caught my attention! This was an unexpected fashion find and one of my favorite purses to carry on the daily.

  1. Kenu Stance 2.0 Tripod; ($19) - This is one item that I make sure to carry in any bag. About two summers ago, I got this tripod to help me out with business to conduct video consultations. It was super helpful then, and, now, I use it whenever I hop on FaceTime calls with my family and friends. I love that this tripod holds the phone in portrait and landscape positions.

  2. e.l.f. ‘Sweet Cherry’ Lip Exfoliator; ($3) -There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t wear some sort of chapstick, lip gloss or color. But, since the cold weather has hit, I’ve noticed that my lips need a little more TLC. I like this lip scrub because it isn’t messy to use and is identical to a lipstick.

  3. NYX ‘Cabaret Show’ Lip Lingerie; ($7) - When it comes to lip colors - I love nudes! Recently, this color has been my go-to because it’s the perfect matte finish for everyday wear and stays on for a long time.

  4. e.l.f. Shine Eraser Blotting Papers; ($1) - Having oily skin can be a gift and a curse. But, with a few pats, these little sheets absorb the oil that likes to hang out in my T-zone. The result? Skin with a natural, matte look.

  5. Burt’s Bees Ginger Lime Lip Balm; ($4) - This is another barrier I wear to keep my lips moisturized. Burt’s Bees is probably one of the very few brands that stays on my lips. I like this Ginger Lime flavor because it smells and tastes something like a Moscow Mule.

  6. EOS ‘Berry Blossom’ Essential Hand Lotion; ($3) - This hand lotion is a necessity. It’s not too greasy, has a light scent and doesn’t take up too much room in my purse.

  7. Healing Crystals - These crystals have become a new addition to my life and bag. I believe in the positive, beautiful energies these crystals possess and always want to carry that with me. From the top left: Blue Lace Agate, Amethyst, Tiger’s Eye and Black Tourmaline.

The theme for my winter essentials? Oil control, lip exfoliating and moisturizing. What must-have, winter essential items are in your bag?
