Celebrity Style: My Favorite BET Awards 2019 Style Moments
From this year’s BET Awards blue carpet arrivals, hosting, presenting and performances, I spotted quite a few looks that caught my eye. In no particular order, here are 12 of my favorite BET Awards 2019 style moments:
Ciara turned up the heat by wearing a red hot, Jean-Paul Gaultier gown and matching ankle strap pumps! I like the wet look for her bob cut hairstyle and how she owned the dramatic shoulders, ruching and train on her dress.
Draya Michele kept it simple, yet sexy while wearing all black everything. I love how she kept her beauty look simple with softly, crimped hair and natural makeup.
Jacob Latimore gave us a splash of color in his shocking blue suit with the one aqua blue arm! Instead of wearing a shirt underneath, he wore a couple of chains and a pair of vintage, gold frame sunglasses. His look definitely gave me late ‘80s, early ‘90s vibes.
Karrueche served up boss babe vibes in her bright yellow ensemble. The matching belt was an excellent way to accentuate her waistline! I like how she complimented her power suit with a pair of pink pointy-toe pumps.
I’m always looking forward to seeing the Migos’ red carpet style. Each of the guys looked great! I loved seeing them in pastel colors with their custom made, Zana Bayne harnesses. Takeoff’s suit is my favorite.
Throughout the night, I enjoyed each of Regina Hall’s looks. However, there was something about that black suit with a pop of neon green that captured me! She wore it well. This look was: chic, fun and the sleeves and pants had the right amount of flare.
Rihanna graced the stage wearing an all-black leather look from her FENTY line - that’s it, that’s all.
From her stage performance to her acceptance speech, Cardi B hit us with two green looks - emerald and lime green. Still, I’m trying to decide which one I liked the most!
It was a sad moment, but I was happy to see Lauren London at the awards. As she accepted the humanitarian award on Nipsey Hussle’s behalf, she looked beautiful. I loved her black tuxedo dress with the crystals down the sleeves paired with an over-sized brimmed hat.
Taraji P. Henson gave us so much glamour! I loved the wavy texture of her high ponytail, sparkling, diamond, cut-out dress with the thigh-high split and silver pumps.
During Mary J. Blige’s performance, I was hoping that she brought Lil’ Kim onstage to perform with her - and, she did! From head-to-toe, The Queen Bee stunned everyone and shut it down in an oxblood look.
